As some of you might know, the Liege fabrics have always been one of our favourite choices for a slipcover when it comes to turning that old couch into a more premium, grown-up looking one.

Linen Klippan sofa cover overall

We realized how high maintenance it was just to upkeep a simple linen fabric like that; you’ve got to dry clean it, you can’t spill drinks on it and it’s definitely not something you’d want your kids or pets to be hanging around at.

But what if we told you that you don’t have to worry about all that anymore?

Introducing the Water/Stain Resistant Liege fabrics

The Liege collection is now coated with water and stain resistance which ensures garments stay clean and dry as liquid and dirt run off the surface thanks to the special coating of the material.

Here’s a video of the Nano-coated fabrics in action:

The Liege fabric is part of our Belgium Linen blend collection, a luxurious premium textile currently available in a natural colour known as our “Liege Biscuit”; as well as an off-white colour known as the “Liege Eggshell”.

If you had always wanted to have a cover that’s white, easy to clean AND machine washable – this is it!

Once again, the Linen fabrics are typically a little more high maintenance and can have about up to a 1-2% shrinkage, so if you’d like to know what’s the best way to maintain these fabrics, kindly note these down:

  1. The Liege fabrics are dry clean only
  2. Do NOT machine dry, it has to be line/air dried
  3. It is recommended to iron out the creases on medium heat as this helps strengthen the special coating

This is pretty much it but there is of course an easy alternative; if you’d like to avoid all these steps – you can definitely dry clean.

We’re currently also working on 2 new colours for the Liege range – Skye (light blue) and Mint (light green), and will be expecting these to arrive before the end of this year 🙂

Until next time!
